A total of 8 bomb blasts, and one event of rocket-firing.
Deaths: 111
Injured: 286
The silent past month was shocking, but this months lash-back from the terrorists has come tri-fold. 3 major events mark this month:
1. 3rd, Lahore, Punjab. The Sri lankan cricket team is attacked by armed gunmen in the streets of the city. The attack is considered similar to that of Mumbai in 2008, which was blamed on Pakistan-based Islamic militants. 7 players and the umpire were injured in this ambush. 7 dead; 9 injured.
2. 27th, Jamrud, FATA. Suicide bomb attack on a mosque near the Afghan border. 48 dead; 80 injured.
3. 30th, Lahore, Punjab. A third attack thought to be by the same militant group that were involved in the Mumbai 2008 and the Sri Lankan team attack earlier this month. This attack was at a police academy with bombs and gunfire. 12 dead; 90 injured.
The world says, why don't the peace-loving, moderate Muslims speak up? Where are they, if they at all are. We've been turned into a living myth. What more proof of innocence do the non-Muslims want, other than how innocent people are dying EVERY DAY at the hands of so called Jihadis and saviors of Islam? No one else is more effected by this horrific terrorism AND the stupid war on terrorism than the Muslims themselves! Is the West blind? Is all that they can see, and feel sorry for is Israel and the Jews?
Get over it! Hitler was in the last century, and so was his tyranny. Jews needed sympathy when all hell broke loose on them, but they are doing well now, BLOODY well now! Some of the richest people and biggest businessmen are Jewish. This century calls for a sympathy towards the Muslims; the Muslims who are facing a under-broad-daylight genocide EVERY DAY and EVERY MINUTE of each day! And West says, the moderates are a myth!!?
Oh, I forgot. Sympathy comes after all are dead. Right. Stupid world.
Stop making me laugh!

Pakistan Republic Day
This day is celebrated in commemoration of the Lahore Resolution (Qarardad-e-Pakistan) that was passed in 1940. The event was a 3 day general session that called for greater Muslim autonomy in British India.
This has physically been visualized in the form of Minar-e-Pakistan; a 60 meter tall monument resembling a minaret, built in Iqbal Park, Lahore, where the 1940 session took place.
The same day is also celebrated for Pakistan becoming the world's first Islamic Republic in 1956.

Happy Mother's Day
The most important person in my life. It takes time to really understand where she is coming from, why she is pissed at you, and how much she in fact loves you :)
I love you too Ma! *smooch*

Mukhtara Mai, Strong Example of a Rape Victim Who Fought Through?
That's a nice picture of her. Eyes look like they have a long, harsh story to tell, while the face seems serene.
We've all heard of Mukhatara Mai,or rather Mukhtara Bibi. Mai is basically an old hag, while bibi is still a respectable term to refer to a woman with. Even Hillary Clinton wanted a picture with her. If not, go back to the news of 2002, where she was sentenced to be raped as a result of an offense her brother committed. Charming! Later it turned out that the brother wasn't at fault, he was being pinned down by some elderly and powerful of the opposition clan. Double charming!
Anyhow, she came out victorious; a surviver! Not many women get to the level she did. An international celebrity. And perfectly deserved too. Sincere applause.
Now we here of the news of her getting married. Here I start to get a bit shaky of the symbol she has become, and how her actions now mean something. The guy has married to is a police officer who was posted for her security, and had been on his act to propose since quite some time, and she'd been constantly refusing. I like it till here. If she doesn't want to get married to someone, no pressure should make her bow to it. And other girls should learn from this.
But Mukhtara has finally agreed to marry the chap. Not because he wooed her heart with his constant love declarations, but because the chap's first wife and kid came to beg Mukhtara's parents to have their daughter marry her husband, who had tried to commit suicide by gobbling down some tablets because of the constant rejection. That is serious twisted.
I can't find myself agreeing to this. Why did she bend to this pressure? If she didn't want it, she should've stuck with her decision. If it endangered the other woman's life and family, she should've helped her. If that policeman wanted to do something silly that jeopardised his wife and kid's future, that it utterly unforgivable, and no one else should have to suffer it's consequences.
Now she lives villages apart from her husband, because she doesn't want to relocate, and finds it convenient. The policeman lives with his first wive, and comes to Mukhtara when he feels like it. What kind of marriage is this?
